Finds and Interests
My role as CEO keeps me busy, but my passion for treasure hunting and reselling on eBay is where I often find some of my most fascinating discoveries. I’m kicking off a new series where I’ll take you behind the scenes of my own store. First up: a truly remarkable item that I just listed.

I started out mainly dealing in furniture, looking for pieces to purchase and selling some of my finds, but between shipping, transporting, and storing items, I began to collect more ephemera—much easier to handle! Magazines, documents, and correspondence fascinate me. I love history, specifically military history, and these pieces tell a story.
This book contains the story of the First American Volunteer Group, a squadron of pilots who flew with the Chinese Air Force to defend against a Japanese invasion of China. When World War II began, the squadron became the 23rd Fighter Group of the US Army Air Forces, commanded by General Chenault. Their squadron kept Japan from taking Burma and other strategic locations.
The book is signed by the author, Larry Pistole, and contains 117 autographs from veterans of the “Flying Tigers” American Volunteer Group. The signatures make the history of these brave men really come alive.
The WorthPoint Price Guide has data on thousands of ephemera pieces sold as well as other militaria and historical items. If you sell or shop online auction sites, check our Price Guide to see accurate sales and value analytics for your collections and treasures.
